Samantha & Billy’s Engagement Session at UNC Chapel Hill

There’s something so special about choosing a location that means something to you—and for Samantha and Billy, there was no better place to celebrate their engagement than the place where it all began: the campus of UNC Chapel Hill.


These two met as students at UNC, and the campus holds so many sweet memories from their time dating. So when it came time to choose a spot for engagement photos, returning to Chapel Hill just made sense.

We spent the afternoon wandering around the iconic spots—starting at the Bell Tower, one of UNC’s most beloved landmarks. The soft sunlight filtering through the trees and the pops of seasonal florals gave us the perfect natural backdrop. The campus in the summertime is something out of a storybook: lush greens, charming brick paths, and a quiet calm that made the whole session feel peaceful and intimate.

Every step around campus brought out a new memory for them—classes they shared, walks to Franklin Street, late-night study dates turned spontaneous ice cream runs. Capturing their connection in a place that helped shape their relationship was just beautiful.


I always say the best sessions happen when couples feel at ease, and this one was filled with so much joy, laughter, and genuine love. Samantha and Billy, I’m so excited for what’s ahead for you both and so honored I got to help you tell this part of your story.
